SCULPTURES

‘Nathalie Joiris’ practice is multifaceted, ranging from sculpture, drawing and installation to public art, video and photomontage, and digital and interactive work. This variety is the result of a continually developing body of research, which cannot be satisfied with a single medium. It also reflects the artist’s desire to achieve a perfect balance between form and content, between his message and the technique(s) used to bring it to life (or to pretend to do so, as is the case in the series of Dreamed Sculptures, or Thought Cities, computer-generated montages of a priori unrealizable works integrated into very real places.
